My Bedtime Tales brings you free daily stories for kids and personalized adventures starring your child. A few quiet minutes together and a warm story can make a lovely end to the day.
New stories are added daily. Read them for free on your phone, tablet, or computer, with no account required. We group stories by age to help you find a good fit:
Ages 2–3
short, simple stories with a gentle rhythm, familiar details, and warm feelings
Ages 4–6
playful stories about small adventures, friendship, discoveries, and memorable characters
Ages 7–10
longer stories with engaging characters, thoughtful choices, and adventures to share
Browse collections and topics, such as animals, friendship, or space, try the Story of the Day, or use search. Each story also links to others with similar themes.
Create a character with a name, age, and a few details about their personality and appearance. You can add a photo as a visual reference for the illustrations. Choose a theme and age group, and we create an illustrated story especially for your child.
Your finished story appears in your account. Read it online, edit the text and discussion questions, or download a PDF book with a cover and illustrations, ready to print.
New public stories include male and female narration. A listening pass gives you access to public story audio for 1, 7, or 31 days, with a lower daily price for longer passes. Registered users also receive one free listening day each month.
Narration for personalized stories is ordered separately. Finish editing your story first, then choose a voice so the recording uses your final text. Purchased recordings of your own stories remain available without a listening pass, and earlier recordings are kept too.
Registered users receive one free personalized story on the first day of each month, following America/New_York time (U.S. Eastern Time). The reset follows daylight saving time. Unused monthly gifts do not accumulate: a new allowance is added only if you used the previous one. Your free story is used when you place the order.
Paid orders use your account credits: 1 credit = $1 USD. The story price, including the number of illustrations, is shown before you confirm your order. If you cancel a paid story before it is delivered, including before work begins, 50% of its price is returned to your credit balance. Canceling a package cancels all its undelivered stories together and returns 50% of their combined price. The amount is shown before you confirm cancellation.
Follow age groups or favorite topics in your account and manage notifications in your settings. Choose email or connect Telegram when that option is available. Links to our social channels appear on the homepage as those channels become available.

Yes. You can read all published stories on the site for free, without creating an account. Personalized stories, books, and listening access may cost extra. Registered users receive one free personalized story each month.
Our stories are grouped into ages 2–3, 4–6, and 7–10. You can also order a personalized story for any of these age groups.
An account is free. You can save favorite stories, follow age groups and topics, manage new-story notifications, and order personalized stories, including one free story each month.

Yes. Order narration in the story editor after your story is ready and you have finished any text edits. This lets the audio use your final text. Choose a male or female voice, and order new versions whenever you need them; earlier recordings are kept. Purchased recordings of your own story remain available without a listening pass. Your free monthly story includes two free recordings, one in each voice.
Yes. My Bedtime Tales works on phones, tablets, and computers.
